reflection: i used to cast (what i considered) thought-provoking questions or studies or stories (this is how @keccers.eth and i first became friends) now it feels like i cast a lot of (what i consider) "lifestyle" slop half of me is like whatever and the other half is like what happened maybe time for a change

Fwiw I prefer lifestyle slop and find it more authentic and engaging. Studies and stories were great too but didn't speak to me as much cause I didn't feel like I was learning about you more about the topics you were sharing

Why do you consider "lifestyle" slop? Genuinely curious. I share a lot of "lifestyle" slop too and I find that people seem to really connect with it here. Maybe it's because it's not common to see in a Warpcast timeline, but maybe it's because people find value in that kind of content anyway. FWIW, I find a lot of your casts still very thought provoking and the others are usually funny. 🤷‍♂️

i had the same thoughts last week, that i'd gotten "lazy" in my casting but i realized it was more that i'd gotten more comfortable you still cast thought provoking content and don't discount the conversations you have in smaller groups or in private here!

Nah, I think being more organic and following your genuine interest is appreciated. There are a bunch of accounts on the other app that use odious "question bait" to promote engagement. It also might be seasonal (not that California has seasons...)

Admit I did like the difficult questions phase, though something could be said for seasonal casting… the lifestyle slop suits summer when our brains are blunted by the outpouring of physical activity and we gladly take in that which is easily digested.
