This is a ridiculous & unconstitutional policy, all of this was possible before AI. The state will manufacture outrage wildly out of proportion to any real & present danger in order to destroy 1st Amendment protections. (probably bad) Idea for an FC client: fund development by charging users to see ragebaity/poor content that advertisers wouldn't want to be placed with. Basically impose a cigarette tax for not consuming high-quality content however you want to define it.

Hot take: we should just dump all casts into EigenDA (subsidized by FID signup fees) and lazy sync them into hubs to archive (later can be replaced by @codexstorage for longer term storage) If it's good enough for Solana's throughput, it's probably good enough for onchain social.

Trying out some rye! From High West in Utah: baking spices, cinnamon most notably, like a fruitcake on the nose. Sharp yet thin palate, low viscosity. The port barrel finish shines through in a cherry red color. I'm not a rye expert, but probably one of the better noses I've sensed on any whiskey.

I want to write a paper titled: "Hashcash is all you need (to protect attention)" Putting this prediction on the record: any decentralized, permissionless, open protocol that doesn't have some form of cryptoeconomic spam protection will devolve into SMTP fiefdom where only a few players end up as the defacto gatekeepers.

@yanowitz enjoyed the pod, but you made a claim that OpenSocial has more DAUs than Farcaster. I was surprised by this and tried signing up on their most popular app "SoMon". Here's what SoMon looks like after signing in: It's point farming. They promise free tokens for a daily check-in. How is this not grossly misleading? The majority of users according to their own Dune dashboard are from Indonesia & Vietnam...where Axie Infinity & Worldcoin are also popular. How many genuine DAUs are using this platform as a social medium, and not just because of the airdrops?
