Disagree, BTC's only defining feature is being the largest marketcap coin, once that breaks, it's gone forever.

TIL >The popular song by BINKY is actually a real song: Matalii ja mustii (English: short and black) by Värttinä which is credited at the conclusion of the episode. There are Finnish lyrics, but mainly the repetitive harmonizing is heard throughout the episode. https://arthur.fandom.com/wiki/Meet_Binky https://tidal.com/browse/track/31379079?u

Subtle point, but actually profound. We care about explanations, intentions, reasoning of {systems, agents, humans}, even when the output was good & true, because we want to know & model how that system will act in the future—to know that good outcomes are not just a fluke. https://x.com/iampaulgrewal/status/1878869450465952138

Just took home my first bottle yesterday. I hope it remains a relatively-accessible dram, because honestly they could make it allocated and it would be justified.

I don't think it's possible without additional assumptions. When you connect a wallet on Farcaster, it's on-hub Verification Message, but not onchain IIRC. Creating a proof would require some sort of multisig cosigning service to verify "the stateroot of the hub and the stateroot of the Blockchain were X & Y at time T". You could have an Eigenlayer AVS that acted as this cosigning committee though.

Also, the quadratic voting / secure internet voting stuff reminds me of CA's mDL Wallet, more ppl should be bootstrapping on that.

Interesting...Rogan won't have @bryanjohnson on. I assume he doesn't want a competing business (Blueprint) to his sponsors (AG1) and supplement company (Onnit)? https://x.com/bryan_johnson/status/1878172539429752835

(not my pet issue / don't care strongly either way): My potted response would be: we're an open society and they're not. I highly recommend this episode of The Realignment which tackles a bunch of the nuances involved: https://youtu.be/V1cu7XnJ_BY?si=2o8rzukKleo0yRZm&t=1083 Also Corbin's interview on the 2nd half of this episode: https://youtu.be/Xa63_IA1erU?si=w3xPcqLMFptRIaob&t=3513

And more recently: "Palladium is the only appliance that's more important to me than the refrigerator. It is the single most important appliance in my life. We are the largest installation of Palladiums anywhere." https://www.reuters.com/technology/new-cadence-supercomputers-aim-speed-creation-chips-software-2024-04-17/

Silicon design bugs are costly, famously Intel's FDIV bug cost nearly half a billion (in 1993 dollars!). Only 20% of the cost of a new chip goes into the design phase...verification (bug finding) now is 60-80% of the cost. https://www.righto.com/2024/12/this-die-photo-of-pentium-shows.html

Realized after talking to fellow Farcastians yesterday, I don't think at any point I've actually mentioned on the TL what I do for my day job, but it's pretty simple: we make a chip that speeds up chip design simulations. It's called an emulator. Every company that makes chips—which is now all of big tech—uses emulation. Jensen Huang explains it better than I can in his Acquired interview: "The reason why we needed that emulator is because if you figure out how much money that we have, if we taped out a chip and we got it back from the fab and we started working on our software, by the time that we found all the bugs because we did the software, then we taped out the chip again. We would’ve been out of business already." https://www.acquired.fm/episodes/jensen-huang
