Learning about @sreeramkannan's Eigenlayer AVS. An idea I has was to create an AVS that was a decentralized IPFS Pinning service. Users submit IPFS hashes to a contract with a payment. All AVS nodes are expected to now host the IPFS Content within a specified amount of time.

While building an AVS requires a lot of protocol level knowledge, we expect many app bevelopers to "consume" Eigenlayer AVS. For example, a social network dapp can utilize EigenDA, an oracle and an authentication service built on Eigenlayer.

We started with the name "EigenLayer" (originally "Eigenlayr") with the goal of enabling a common security substrate across multiple services even before we had the particular notion of restaking. The name Eigen in German means "your own." (..contd)
