Offering my entire degen tip allowance (~$500) to a dev who will spend 1 hour on a video call walking me through their productivity setup I want to see it all: macros, editor, weird little QoL tricks to shave off 30 seconds; nothing is too obscure Will choose from the replies below based on who is most cracked

I was somewhat interested in @gabrielayuso.eth ‘s setup, unsure if he’s “cracked” tho

feel like i could do a writeup of mine, tldr: - keyboard > mouse, experiment with different hardware - linux-based systems > windows - use custom global hotkeys (karabiner, skhd) - use a window manager (magnet, raycast, yabai) - add global search & clipboard management (raycast)

I use keyboard for everything possible. - window positioning - vim - switching windows incl. dialogs - all app shortcuts (cmd+p everything in vscode) - basic unix commands (grep, jq, cut, curl, wc, sort, uniq) basically, clicking is a productivity smell. https://warpcast.com/jtgi/0x8dc2e64a

love an excuse to talk about my setup haha no tip needed - fish shell - starship prompt - lots of custom aliases - kb window management - sticky notes - whiteboard - all urls custom resolved to the appropriate browser - raycast to improve search - arc profiles per wallet - wood standing mat might write up more later

this is a good idea, the best things are often picked up from others no spare hours but will type up some thoughts and whoever does do this should record

Pretty basic but raycast saves me a ton of time every day. Would also recommend trying out Supermaven copilot. Its the only "copilot" product I've tried that i haven't turned off after five minutes

No money. I’ll show you the joys of vim/neovim and some of my favorite productivity plugins. I also wrote a plugin recently to remind me when to rest my eyes: https://github.com/wildfunctions/myeyeshurt

If you’re on Mac then raycast has infinite potential. Hot keys, quick links and window management plus a library of plugins and automations (and you can even build your own extensions fairly easily)
