A Coinbase user was likely social engineered and scammed for 110 cbBTC ($11.5M) on Base last month by a threat actor. Monopolised. & then DeepSeek outperformed all leading models at fractions of cost And open sourced the tech Now any AI builder has access to the most powerful model. Truly a gift for open source, and even bigger one for AI development.

DeepSeek should be encouraging for crypto x AI folks. It came from AI industry outsiders, had modest capital requirements, the breakthrough came from algorithmic creativity (vs scale). Way better fit.
