🧵 A summary update on the events surrounding Clanker: Our team recently discovered that Proxystudio is the same individual who, back in 2022, went by the alias Gabagool. Gabagool was a core member of Velodrome, an AMM that started on OP Mainnet. (1/2)

Previously: During their time at Velodrome, Gabagool transferred funds out of a Velodrome team operations wallet before it could be sent to a team multisig. An investigation was completed that uncovered the culprit, and Velodrome was able to recover the lost funds. Now: After communication with the Velodrome team and our team's discussions with Proxystudio, there was a mutual decision for Proxystudio to depart from Clanker. Next steps: I'll be handling all ops to ensure that all of our supporters and builders see continuity across all of our products and services. Our plans for upcoming products remain unchanged. I want to emphasize that all company assets are secure / unaffected by this transition. I will be providing regular updates throughout this transition period. Our team is hyperfocused on moving forward and has been working to ensure that everything continues running smoothly. My DMs are always open for any questions. (2/2)

As someone that has a big thing for transparency, I really love your (both you and @dish) approach in this situation. Both of you rock. I know that's not the primary thing now, so I get if you don't want to waste time on this (but I am interested so I have to ask). I was under the impression Alex and Jack were behind Clanker, and were, until recently, a two man show. Is that correct, and if not, how many team members are there, and what are the responsibilities each one has (but my curiosity would be killing me if I didn't also ask what were Proxy tasks and if he gave some light on what happened at Velodrome and his reason for it)?
