Last year at work an employee turned in a grocery receipt for reimbursement. It had every recall of a product that person had bought in 2024 listed at the bottom, there were around a dozen. The food system seems broken in the US, maybe that's what this is about. But it sometimes seems like this administration actually wants it all to crash and burn, not just the deep state or what have you.

EU rightfully is strict on food regulations. Yet Trump continues to try to force this lower quality product into the EU over threats of tariffs. I’d rather pay double over eating what will be spilled out of the US, after they done destroying the existing checks and balances.
