if you can’t get off, start choosing “see less of…” for all the high dopamine / highly emotional posts. your feed will quickly become more boring (a good thing) and you’ll feel better

practical things I've found to be helpful. - delete app from phone - use something like BlockSite on desktop to block it for sessions - prune algo as much as you can. I mute, block accounts regularly and it helps. re popularity. It will never be as popular as facebook/instagram but it is the arena for certain groups of people and I don't know of anything that comes close to competing with it in that regard.

I've managed to keep my crypto twitter account pretty much to just that by who I follow and who I mute. BUT that has morphed a bit in the past couple months as politics and crypto get more intermingled. Definitely recommend trying to hack your algo but it's definitely getting harder to do.

They turned X into 4chan now as crazy as that sounds. It’s become so unbearable to be on there & have to constantly redirect your timeline into content you actually want to consume.
