I watch some of my dear friends kids (most notably @ro) experiencing their Steiner educations and often feel like, “man, i wish i had had that myself!” Huge gift your parents gave you @july providing you that skilful design pattern of pedagogy. You only get to run “early childhood education” once in any given life. Me, I’m leaning hard on neuro-plasticity to make up for it.

here's mine: went to one Steiner School just as it started up in New Zealand (from class one) – we were in old army prefabs until we got proper Steiner style buildings in class five. my dream as a 6 year old was to live near the place all our teachers had come from in the UK, and I moved here ten years ago.

Wow, that is very interesting. I saw you answer which continents in another cast. So did you have a favorite area that you preferred from the 3 continents? How did they differ? I'm sure each had their pros and cons. My friend went to a Waldorf school in CO and she is now teaching violin at one and her son goes to a Montessori school. I think I would have benefited from going to a school like this rather than a regular public school. I got good grades, but socially it wasn't the best for me.

Which age were you? Interested more in the aspect of growing up on different continents more than Waldorf itself. How do you feel this impacted you throughout life?
