Starting to do a little work on the birds I've photographed on this Florida trip. Heading home tomorrow. This is a green heron which I haven't photographed for about 20 years. First time I've seen it here in Florida. The back feathers are more greenish IRL, but I liked them blue, so I left the white balance as shot which was 5000. It was photographed in the shade so white balance should be higher. Daylight balance gives it a teal look to the back feathers.

Sharing one of my photos from 2023 of my favorite owl. I noticed that a few of the owl burrows have the owls hanging out already, so the breeding season has started. Finally got some bird shots today in Marco Island. I watched this little stork try to swallow this fish for about 20 minutes. Poor bird was struggling and I finally left as the sun was setting.

It is repulsive and sad that the trump monster is reigning again in this country. When he was in power before, I was not living here, but in Canada (for 10 years) and when I returned he was already gone. Feels worse to be right in it.

Moody and Monochrome Monday! Kill two Mondays with one stone or a group of trees. These are regenerating redwoods 3 years after a forest fire (you can see on the "furry" trunks).
