Leg day was a success. Need recommendations for weight lifting shoes. Been squatting with plates under my heels for weeks, need to invest now.

Hi mate, I strongly recommend you Nike Romaleos 3 or 4 model. Very comfortable for low squads and WL.

Any proper lifting shoe -- adipower (adidas) or romaleos (nike). Never squat barefoot, it's dangerous

I've been using the adipower 4's for years and they're really great.

I got Nike savaleos on sale to try and they make a difference. They’re not as high of a lift as real lifting shoes but more than my metcons and give me a better platform.

After watching some old Arnold videos, I have been doing my workouts barefoot, and it's been great. Seeing a lot of similar recs on this thread, too. Food for thought.

I use Nike metcon! high-quality shoes that are suitable for both deadlift squats and more mobile exercises at the same time!

if i were you id learn to squat shoeless. Its definitely motivated by not spending the amount of money, but i would say that your feet and legs as a whole can benefit from it vastly. Been doing this since the beginning and i can recommend it with honesty

It's recommended to squat in shoes with a flat outsole (not curved). This is why people like squatting in vans, blazers, converse, etc. Any shoes with cushion or boost on the bottom I wouldn't recommend.

if you’re like me & like wider toe boxes, TYR has a pair of wide toe box lifting shoes. i’m not picky with lifting shoes. i’ve had success with most of the major brands, so i’d say try a few and see what sticks.

I always recommend barefoot shoes like Vivobarefoot. Yes, your range of motion will originally be limited but the work on your mobility will change your life and keep you limber throughout it. Practice squatting to the floor and you will increase your ankle, knee and hip mobility as well as getting a massive booty 💪
