would you rather: A) take an 8hr coach bus that leaves from and ends in each cityโ€™s center B) take a 1.5hr flight where you have to go through security and get to/from airports far from city center (total travel time is 7hr)

wow, depends on the timing of each option. If overnight Iโ€™ll tend to pick the coach bus.

I do A between TO and MTL but usually use a train. Itโ€™s sick! Way better than flying

Iโ€™d rather take the train. I donโ€™t get why they are not that developed in the US

Iโ€™d WAY rather do B then be stuck in some bus with uncomfortable seats for 8 hours with the same people sharing one tiny porta potty with no option or convenience to buy food or hydrate

I usually try to work as much as possible when Iโ€™m traveling & working from a bus kind of sucks, so Iโ€™d fly!

I personally lean towards A. A is good if you ate before boarding and have snacks and water handy. This option is even better if itโ€™s overnight and you have a sleep mask + neck pillow or have something to work on the whole time. Usually most economical too. B can work if youโ€™re traveling light, donโ€™t like staying in the same spot for too long, and/or can make the most of the interstitial trips, like getting picked up or dropped off by a local friend.

bus. main reason i dont use it to get around CA more is that most lines run to/from LA not SD so it's a further hop skip run from SD to LA then onto main drag

Probably A if driving through highway and well maintained roads. Short-distance flights are full of interruptions

I really prefer a bus. I did once even 24 hours and it still felt better than to go to the airport

Bus. Or better yet: rent a car and drive (if you can).

I've done A) on several occasions it doesn't seem to have any lasting morbidities.
