It would be great if there a HUGE penalty for spammy behavior. Bad branding for /degen.

It’s almost like empowering every user to be a moderator and feel ownership over their feed would solve this pretty quickly 👀 https://frames.neynar.com/f/c79ec6a6/b06cee80

Agree in principle there could be ways to moderate spam. But users don’t typically love joining social media platforms where there are HUGE penalties for vaguely defined behaviors

I think a form of staking would be useful for this. First you need to stake for highest visibility in Warpcast, then if you do spammy shit you get slashed.

Would be awesome to put em in the "sin-bin" timeout style for a period rather then a permanent algo nerf - a bot warning ... you've fallen off the path to most glorious qDAU, please realign yourself for the ultimate farcaster experience.

is jullya an official representative from the DAO? otherwise it's a bit weird to blame the org for some random member spam no?

Agreed that spam is bad but Degen also helped bring lots of high content users. IMO the overall quality has improved.

I dislike the spam and noise. Personally I’d love if tipping via WARPS and USDC is part of the FC protocol (warps as an actual token, not points). An FC L3 could pool tokens for users rather than a tx every time. A feature could be that users can make an allowlist of other tokens to receive as tips via L2.

what about introducing penalties for spam? if you spam, you have to pay warps to post in channels (posting on your account is still fine) or alternatively, time-bound penalties (blocked out for increasingly more time the more people report you as spam) this is a problem of warpcast and not of /degen imo

the issue is these bot farms don’t care about any kind of penalty saw this first hand in /higher this weekend, just hundreds of identical bots with active badges spewing non sense
