Agree in principle there could be ways to moderate spam. But users don’t typically love joining social media platforms where there are HUGE penalties for vaguely defined behaviors

Agreed that spam is bad but Degen also helped bring lots of high content users. IMO the overall quality has improved.

I dislike the spam and noise. Personally I’d love if tipping via WARPS and USDC is part of the FC protocol (warps as an actual token, not points). An FC L3 could pool tokens for users rather than a tx every time. A feature could be that users can make an allowlist of other tokens to receive as tips via L2.

what about introducing penalties for spam? if you spam, you have to pay warps to post in channels (posting on your account is still fine) or alternatively, time-bound penalties (blocked out for increasingly more time the more people report you as spam) this is a problem of warpcast and not of /degen imo

I’m pretty sure spamming and requesting follows tips etc already gets someone removed from the airdrop. My point when I brought it up to you was you need to step up you modding since you’re the lead in /apple. Experiment with @automod like they did in the /degen channel. It’s made a huge improvement

It’s $degen now but will be $random_token tmrw. Bots always be spamming, and when the cost of entry is low, even shadow banning them one by one won’t deter the next In this case I think it’s on the mods to hide & ban, and have a team that “follows the sun” to cover all time zones, plus automod tools to help
