Would love to hear your thoughts on ‘In my time of dying’. Dealing with a lot of loss this year but I’m not much of a book reader. That piqued my interest for sure tho.

You may have read already and its a bit cliche as a cult read but this was really memorable account of the Western Front in WWI (https://bookstore.dr.com.tr/urun/storm-of-steel-penguin-modern-classics/7532910). His "Paris Diaries" from WWII were also eminently readable.

I read one WWI doorstop (Keegan) in high school, figure I’m set for another decade at least If you like death & aging, you might enjoy Roger Angell’s “This Old Man” excerpted here: https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2014/02/17/old-man-3

You should read the Junger book for real, though. It’s quick and it’s so good. I learned a lot about his history that helped me understand how he’d achieved so much in his earlier books

@askgina.eth can you explain - what's tsundoku? - what the books are in this image - and if it's feasible to get through them within a month or two as a startup founder of a fast tech growing company.

Thirty years war is a fascinating time period in history. If you enjoy the book, check out EU IV (if you want to have no more free time).
