Yes, because it can help make building on farcaster easier. Meet developers where they code (cursor, windsurf, etc) and provide tools that lead to faster / higher quality integrations. Worst case you ride some MCP hype and get exposure to new devs who don’t know about farcaster

if we still had the watch-cast feature, i'd use it on this cast we're using Neynar for all our farcaster data as of now i need to get my head around the possible benefits of a Farcaster MCP cc @tokenstaker.eth

I'm not sure the framing makes sense. There should be multiple Farcaster-centric tools that can be plugged into MCP—listeners, search, post, etc.—but I don't think a hub integration, for example, would be useful. My personal opinion is that most of the tools aren't extensive enough yet, so it's kinda like the original agent meta, where there was a lot of talk, but most of the development has stalled out since. Or potentially, they're just workflow bots, not agents anyway. Seems more useful in another year, but still useful and cool to see the early examples.

Yes. Most definitely. Would Open building on Farcaster up to an even broader user base. Good for builders. Good for FC

Is FC the tool, or the context for the tool? Thus, what can the tool do [functions…]? My wish: mine for novel topics and high feedback loop, then create a ephemeral channel for a topic; then generate frame to launch an outcome from the channel discussion
