Great post by @pichi, BUT I think channels are going to be a big unlock for Farcaster (the protocol) What folks say are top issues with channels: - exhausting to manage channels (spam, gating, curating feed) - users want distribution, but they don’t get it by posting in channels - confusion b/w private and public mode (who joins, posts or earns) - ephemeral feed not great (can't do multiple pinned casts, discussions/threads) We must change the way we embrace and use channels. 3 imp points 🧵👇

In March we started beta testing Cura - a channel focussed app (big thanks to all the early channel mods and users for jumping on calls with us to share feedback💜 ) this month, our goal is to get the first 1000 users who love the new channel experience. we are confident we can bring the right form factor and UX to make Channels Win! we're going to start featuring channels doing cool things on Cura 👀 everything we're shipping at Cura wouldn't be possible without @openrank

to maximize usage and retention (achilles' heel of crypto), we need to evolve our mental model for airdrops. on a mid-to-long term timeframe, airdrops will be less about ads spend (CAC), but more as a budget for loyalty and ownership (LTV)
