Start with 30-50% of your normal workout volume When I’m coming back from a break I literally do 1 set on each lift the first week

in addition to everything everyone else mentioned, we love a good epsom salt bath ✨🧂 + low impact movement (e.g. cycling, slow running, mobility work) actually helps a ton

foam rolling is my go-to, esp if you have a vibrating roller also drink water, move around or do mobility work, generally eat healthy

Protein before sleep, I hear. Haven't actually looked into though, so take it with a grain of salt

the things I've found helpful are *very* slowly easing back into things & foam rolling

Some muscles are just more susceptible to DOMs than others, no way around it. I've found that frequency helps. Blasting a muscle 1x a week might cause debilitating soreness, but increasing to more days in the week will lessen the effect. I rarely get DOMS anymore unless I'm doing a truly novel lift.
