i really don't know how some founders find that work-life balance. i rarely sleep good, my room's a mess, i take out the trash until there's 4 120l bags piled up. rarely go on a walk with friends, nearly no weekends the only thing I do is my startup, gym and OSS how do you think of anything else beyond your startup?

my friend challenged me a year ago to look at past photos and create an album of fun memories the majority of photos were outdoors on trails and with friends so that’s what i prioritized outside of exercise and outdoors, i’ve found meditating and journaling to be helpful

Set a day aside to think about your values and how you can feel more balanced. And schedule at least 1 day off a month. That’s my plan!

I think this part of the founder lifestyle is needed pre-PMF but it’s def not sustainable. So you have to optimize for taking all the shots on goal that you can while you’re ok with this lifestyle.

i have found that if you do things out of order, your day job will punish you by stealing your time.

Going out for that walk with friends could keep the mind fresh?. Hikikomori clutters the brain after a while.

if you look back at a successful career trajectory, you'll probably find that 10% of inputs produced 99% of the value. the trick to work-life balance is to constantly try and reduce the other 90% of the inputs so that your life has *some* time for friends and relationships. being a founder will never be as easy as having a full-time job, but it can be better than it is today.

Maybe because it will be your own project, and you’ll be ready to invest all your time. It’s like a child 😅😂

I hear you. IMO you need to incorporate some discipline and socialization into your lifestyle, or else you will end up a very sad founder.
