Depends on how you want to measure success but in terms of novelty/exposure:
- @meetquack: biggest crypto native IP on Instagram (2.3M followers) and thriving merch biz (instagram.com/meetquack)
- @nounsesports: world class esports team competing against the biggest brands in the world (https://x.com/nounsgg)
- Nouns school: we funded an entire school in Uganda (https://x.com/davinoyesigye/status/1886329926988566739/video/1)
And then I can just go on forever about the thousands of people and projects that have happened over the years. Super Bowl ad with Bud light, playgrounds were built, Rose Bowl parade, animation festivals, hundreds of meetups, toys, movies, charity work, Agora the gov platform, privacy research, etc... list is endless 2 replies

It's no secret that Nouns has changed. There's ofc lots of nuance to how we got here, the good and bad. At its core, it's the underlying mechanics that drive the current dynamic. The early epoch was nounder-led, then we had a more financially oriented ethos, and now we sit at a 'governance R&D hub'. It's another changing of the guard.
I don't find the current motif exciting. Many early Nouns folk feel the same, and that's ok. The game was set up to behave as it has, and I wish the current set of leaders the best.
On the other hand, Nouns is CC0. Plenty of funded projects are thriving. In many ways, the DAO is now one node among several in the network, which is exactly how CC0 was meant to play out. We can continue to experiment with the noggles, the people, and the lessons learned to build new nodes.
As for me, after four years of nonstop grind for the DAO, Prop House, and Rounds, I have to admit I am burnt out. I am still here. I have ongoing convos with many Nouns folk, I check camp regularly, I see the projects that are being developed, but for now I'm on the sidelines until new inspiration strikes to dive back in. 8 replies
