Did we rotate out of the H-1B meta already? Given its lack of staying power / relatively quick decline in the public discourse, I wonder if it was manufactured controversy (that Vivek’s post gave credence to) Also could be a signal that the incoming coalition is fairly strong / united

There's too many incentives to constantly shift narratives. After the H-1B meta it was temporary virtue signaling on illegal immigration (saying politicians across the world were protecting rapists and pedophiles) to earn back some good will, and now all focus is on California. Gotta keep getting attention.

its such a dumb argument that it died quickly most h1-b goes to jobs americans don't need/want software engineers are needed bc industry is booming not anything underyling to america capitalism exploits immigrant status of people to underpay them, trump himself has hired many people under the h1-b visas idk what ?
