I didn't realize how cooked Facebook was until I recently reactivated my account. What used to be a feed of my friends/family is replaced with AI slop, dumb meme accounts, and promotions. A total hellscape. I don't understand the long term vision at all for that platform other than impending deprecation.

There are some phrases that when uttered, I can immediately discount someone's knowledge or understanding on a topic. When it comes to politics, "Russiagate" is one such phrase. It immediately signals the utterer is either 1) a useful idiot or 2) bad faith. 75% of the time, they have no idea who Paul Manafort is 🙃

This is consistent throughout Trump's political history and part of what makes him so detestable. He does not condemn or criticize violent individuals that he sees as supporters or part of his in-group. Violence is very much acceptable to him so long as it's done to further his cause. Just as he does not condemn the 1/6 rioters, requested that the armed protesters be let in through detectors closer to him because they were 'on our side', and never backs down or apologizes for violent rhetoric, he is perfectly willing to accept violent actors into his movement. This is a stark and horrible difference between him and just about every major US politician (with elected parts of maga now being the exceptions) https://x.com/ElectProject/status/1829701154931957824

It's easy to miss the level of Trump's deranged state of mind if you don't follow his Truth Social posts. The guy literally schizo rants daily, reposts stuff calling for military tribunals and indictments of politicians/public figures, and shares literal Qanon posts to all of his followers. He's very unwell.
