My Twitter got hacked. Got phished on a credible looking email saying my account had been compromised. Panicked, didn't check the originating domain, and raced to change my password on the phishing site. Hacker got my credentials, added 2FA, and am locked out. Stay safe out there.

This happened to me yesterday. Luckily, I was able to check the sender first before proceeding and auto delete the mail. Honestly, they are improving which is scaryπŸ₯²

sorry bud, thats not a good feeling. everyone can get phished. that time youre having an off day, maybe already got a call about a sus charge on acredit card, youre stressed over life stuff, that perfectly timed scam mail lands right when your brain is already overloaded and you click. it can happen to all of us, tomorrow will be a better day

Have a link to the phishing site? And forcing oneself to always only enter credentials through a password manager - no copy/pasting - should have protected against this since it would be a different URL.
