Been resting after Bansko Nomad Fest but will be back in Asia soon. One important lesson I learned is to know if you will be going into a conference with your social battery full or drained. Unfortunately it was the latter for me, after 4 months of going and hosting meetups. Will take better stock for next year…

Just to clarify some points in this unfortunate situation: 1. The victim downloaded and executed malware; there's no token approvals to revoke, the scammers got the private key 2. UK business registrations are a farce and just used to trick people using social proof 3. Use filescan.io as an alternative to VirusTotal

If you need more evidence that Dexis is malicious, they stolen code from an existing open-source project and claimed it as their own on their new GitHub repo (DexisApp/Dexis), I’m guessing to try to earn open-source cred. Good thing they don’t know how git works… Avoid Dexis.

🧠 Guys, if you get shilled malware in DCs to the point where you know what the name of the software is, please share that name when you post in /police This will help others that search for that software/malware's name to see if others found out whether it was a scam or not.

OK nevermind, they do read my casts 😂 But yeah, avoid Zoom malware scams people: - have meeting software pre-installed on your devices - don’t download meeting software from someone else’s link; go to the canonical source yourself
