You’re an accomplished engineer; no tutorial required. Change the LLM config to 3.5 Sonnet; toggle AI pane and you’re OTW

All you need to know: 1. Ctrl + K for inline edits 2. Ctrl + L for sidebar chat for longer context and dribbling 3. Ctrl + I for composer, multi-file edit

Haven't seen a tutorial, but use the sidebar liberally @ for files and copy paste urls if you want it to read them. Excited for your release cadence if this is new. Also just pay the $20 or hook it up to an API. Worth ez imo

i started using Claude 2 or 3 weeks ago…it’s just better than ChatGPT at coding imo, but has stricter limits i still need to play with cursor

watch this 3min vid on using Cursor composer (toggle it on in beta settings). Even better than normal cursor code assistance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=msHbQfhS3p8 and here's a 24min tutorial on the same topic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V9_RzjqCXP8

+1…I gave up on it when I couldn’t figure out how to get it to not hijack common vscode shortcuts for ML stuff but should probably try again

Mutable.ai is a tool that offers code optimization suggestions, bug and error identification, and real-time analysis. It deeply analyzes complex algorithms and data structures to propose the best methods for improving performance, detects potential issues or bugs within the code and provides solutions to fix them, and monitors coding issues as they arise in real-time, offering immediate solutions.

Enable composer in cursor settings. CMD+I to open it. Tell it what you want as descriptively as you'd need to if you were explaining to someone who works on a different part of the codebase primarily (e.g "write integration tests for X, following the pattern in @filename and creating a fake Y like in @otherfile")

don't overthink it: - ignore the sidebar (gimmick) - highlight code -> cmd + K -> type english -> review code

Cursor: @project to ask about the whole codebase @files to include relevant ones. Start new chat sessions more liberally than gpt i move to gpt when i want to talk more than code results (api pricing)

Not familiar with Cursor but Claude made me cancel ChatGPT. 100x better but the limits can be a pain. You don’t need a tut. Just treat it like a QA or Junior dev on your team.
