Do all the good runners here run in the rain/snow/cold? 🥶 I want to be a good runner but I also wanna be comfy 😅

Running in the rain is kind of fun NGL. It beats running in hot and humid weather any day.

I’ve been enjoying the winter we have been having here and running every time it’s over 30 degrees. Below 30 degrees I chicken out and use the rowing machine.

frodo does. he gears up. it sucks but it's better than staring at a wall on the treadmill.

Been running in cold rain lately (San Diego) and hate it. It's the price to pay for consistency though, and it will make my warmer runs a lot more pleasant when I feel like griping that it's too hot!

This morning I ran 14 km under heavy rain. At the end my running clothes were weighting 1.6 kg 🤣 I like cold (in shorts). Love the snow (but unfortunately very seldom where I live)

Rec. Goretex shoes if you do run in such conditions but a caveat is they can run small and take a while to break in (double socks to start is my solution) I have some hoka Clifton 9 gtx I'm fond of but they are horrible grip wise for snow and slurry.

It's good mental training to not let the weather interfere with your plans. If you're running a race, you have to deal with whatever nature throws at you.

Don't forget running in the dark! Cold is easier than snow is easier than rain for me to handle. I prefer my long runs to be outside, sometimes gotta work with the hand that's dealt. There are plenty of days I still do inside on the treadmill - the most important thing is just getting out for the run!

You’ll never be a good runner If you want to be comfy all the time. Running in crappy conditions makes it all the better once you’ve completed it!
