We start Feb vacation this week; so I don’t think it matters. Also generally in favor of not having school on federal holidays for the portion of parents who get said holidays having the opportunity for more family time.

My kids get so many days off during the school year, it’s crazy. Send them, but teach them about imperialism. 😅

As an educator I agree with the intent of teaching students about presidents. Also as an educator I know that this stretch of weeks between winter break and spring break is long, dark, and cold. A day off is much appreciated to disrupt the monotony.
