“the broad population doesn't care about pure and total decentralization as much as they care about just being allowed to have better access to and control over their digital property.” This makes me think of the attention “economy” (which is maybe a better way of saying “living in the cloud kingdom” as I say) and how we have found ourselves accustomed to trading discomfort in the name of convenience for our time and attention specifically look at Meta, Amazon, & twXitter rn👀 — we have found ourselves on an ecosystem, Farcaster that is finding novel ways to turn, what is exploitative in 2web—the attention economy, into an empowering marketplace and it’s breaching on almost a cozy 3rd space — it’s not there but I can see its potential, especially as more clients are producing promising designs and community (@wildcardlol @jam @farhouse to name a few I use on rotation)
