can't cast in /apple (sad) but has anyone switched from an iPhone Max back to normal-size iPhone? do you miss the larger size? i'm considering going back after 2 years. only downside of the Max is that it is a bit big for women's pockets (lol), but i'm not sure what the upside is beyond larger screen?

Yes I went from a Pro to a Normal Size 16 I like being able to handle my phone on one hand comfortably without feeling it will slip through my hand or something. The only other upside for a max imho is longer battery life if you care about that

Never had a Max but had a Pro and downsized this time, v happy Lighter, smaller Pocket is huge issue idk why the phones are so damn big

lol, I wrote a whole cast about it with photos and now I can’t even find it anymore because I casted it in /apple so my post has been removed. I went from the 15 ProMax which I only bought for the camera to the 16 Pro and I’m super happy about that! Fit in all my pockets again. Photo left to right. 15 Pro Max -> 16 Pro - 3G

I went back a couple years ago and don’t miss the larger size at all. Max has a larger battery though in addition to the screen.

Went from max to pro and didn’t look back. Was concerned because I have large hands but didn’t really notice the difference and it’s no longer obnoxious in the pocket.

Yes - I normally get the normal size, but every few years I get the urge to buy the Max. After having it now for about a year, I'm starting to want the normal size again. Main benefit I get from the max is larger screen + camera quality, but nowadays the cameras are solid across the board, so doesn't really matter.

I don’t think the screen matters much, rather the battery life. The upside with Max is significantly better battery life. I went from iPhone 11 Max to iPhone 13 Pro to now back to iPhone 16 Pro Max.

I switched back after 2 years later cycle and I don’t miss it. I miss the extra batter power but screen size I can now handle with one hand super easily and fits pockets way better like you said. The larger hurt to walk with sometimes
