I’d love to hear feedback about Next / Vercel / v0 / AI SDK etc from this part of the world. We proudly host and power some amazing crypto projects on our platform and always looking to get better.

Have played with v0 a lot. Haven’t used it to get beyond prototyping because it requires starting a new codebase from scratch. I would be a daily user if I could use it to prototype with my ~existing codebase~ and there was a dead simple way to go from prompt -> PR

@super runs 100% on vercel 🤝 no cron jobs in dev, no database backups by default are awkward to deal with pricing gets tricky when piping serverless functions one into another and you pay for time spent on waiting for another api response

use v0 a lot -- I pay for it -- it generates the best frontends imo -- but it doesn't really help me build stuff end-2-end AI SDK is helpful for prototyping -- wish there was a good way to get the SDK docs in an LLM friendly format so that I can use it with windsurf better i like how opinionated y'all are, but I want to get from "thought" to "working thing" quicker and more reliably

it seems like Next will serve resources at static URLs with aggressive cache control headers subsequent deploys will automatically invalidate these resources in Vercel CDNs, but any downstream CDNs / browsers are “stuck” this is a big source of confusion for developers using Next to build frames serving these resources with fingerprints as part of the URL would be preferable

welcome back, I want to appreciate the fee tier generosity too, hosted some frames there 💜 feedback/suggestions accept crypto payments 👀 found database support a bit limited (what makes sense, everything cannot be included..), just thinking that any kind of ipfs powered database integration or something more decentralized and low cost could be something 🤔 (maybe too wild) loving the last updates in logs section, debugging feels easier now love next and vercel, should give a try to v0 (looks powerful and would be cool combined with frames)

It could be a user skill issue, but I feel like v0 is really good at giving a very specific looking, cookie cutter front end. Things like suggested variations, simple UX toggles (color/layout/spacing/example flows) and the ability to edit front end pieces without prompting (more or less what lovable just shipped) would be extremely helpful and speed up my processes. I also haven’t tried again in a while, but I’ve never had luck uploading sketches to v0 and getting a UX I could use without heavy editing

running all farcaster projects (listed below) on Vercel with Next (different versions). using v0 sporadically for component generation but if the workflow was better integrated in an IDE and Vercel it would be fantastic. still need to try out AI sdk, likely this coming week. https://warpcast.com/alvesjtiago.eth/0xcf30f8c0

As you know we love Vercel. I would love if it was more affordable to run our backend on serverside next.

lack of control over caching with next.js apps has been a bit annoying to deal with

Your DevRel people - Lee! - are exceptional. More complex templates would help many of us mixing hosting, AI SDK, runtimes, integrations

DEGEN.tips runs on Vercel, but your database offering is too expensive and not robust enough for our needs, so we had to move to AWS. That also meant shifting the backend to AWS for efficiency. Would love to see a more scalable full-stack solution on Vercel—our Farcaster dataset is pretty big.

re ai sdk: afaik there is no simple way to add a "tool call" callback, i.e. to catch tool call requests before they are executed. this is useful if I want to surface those events to UI to provide more feedback (esp. for long-running tool calls)

AI SDK is great. Will be able to comment more in a couple weeks. Only about a week in on one project, and another one is also considering it. Y’all ever consider IPFS support?
