An interesting trend I've noticed from cold emailing over the years: the "more important" the person is, the faster they tend to answer (even if it's a no). Like, within minutes. It's crazy. Less well known people will either not answer at all or respond weeks / months later. Calibrate accordinly.

as a developer, i just assume cold emailers are hackers, gathering real users for nefarious purposes who just happen to reply back. 🤷

Actually... I cold emailed the president of the New York Yankees in 2011 Randy Levine... He responded within 5 minutes... The fact that my name is Randy as well may have helped?

High ranked individual are always swift with their decision making tbh In my field as a car salesman, the more important or “richer” clients tend to make their decisions swiftly While others would always wanna check everything over and over Then have to come back days later to get it

I think "more important" people already know the value of time, that’s why they respect themselves, and everyone else.

Agreed, and I think there is a huge difference how you write and format the cold email. These days, all the chatGPT approaches go straight to the bin.

I feel it’s because “important” people are more likely to have a “no” or “yes” ready, but others might overthink or procrastinate

I used to believe the trend was related to the level of interest and relevance of the email content, seeing this now, i wonder is it more about the person's availability and responsiveness, or what

Good pt. I think it could have something to do with the fact that successful people had to learn the importance (necessity) of making reversible decisions rapidly
