trying out a new copytrade bot called sanji. It's better than gmgm because it guards against wallets buying the same coin over and over. (They do that to split large orders into smaller ones). You often get rekt when that happens because the coin probably doesn't have enough liquidity.

If you live in the US and get paid in non-bluechip coin that you want to HODL, IMO it makes sense to cash out whatever amount you'll owe in taxes. You will owe uncle sam even if the price crashes. So yea kinda regret not cashing out more DEGEN cuz i owe taxes and don't wanna sell now.

As a meme coin day trader, i had a pretty decent start * 1st/2nd trades were a bust. -30% and -25% * next half dozen trades were net 0% * then i picked a winner, x3 in one trade * next half dozen trades were net 0% * next i tried copy trading, had similar results as above * and then i had the bright idea of making a simple trading bot. Learnings: * on Solana, trades are super expensive, like $1 a trade (more now that Solana is ⬆️) . That means not-smart trades en-masse (like a simple bot) cost prohibitive 🤣 * low liquidity/hi-vol trading puts any trade above $50 at risk of slippage * stick to $25~$50 manual trades until you learn the ropes * strategy so far: ✅ socials + ✅ auditing + at least 50k liquidity + at least 400 transactions the past hour + at least 5k vol the past 5m + ~600 holders + at least 500k MC

Wow. 0 for 2. Just tried coinledger and it thinks I have double the amount of crypto I actually have. I mean the totals column doesn't even add up to what it says is the total. 😅 Next up is....

Interesting. According to my tax software, every time i interacted with the MOXIE protocol, it counted as a gain/loss. Or when i bought NFTs on object, the fees are counted as losses. I might need to get new tax software

think i figured out how to create feeds in BlueSky (you have to use code) They're like public channels except that you can automatically include posts based on tags, words, etc. The one gotcha is that these *might* use a ridiculous amount of resources. Running an experiment to see if the feed can run overnight in Railway with 8GB of memory w/o crashing.

Stay safe 1. On dexscreener token creators put links to scam telegram accounts. This is to try to drain your trading bots on telegram. 2. Not even the programming libraries are safe. Several days after I started making my sniping bot, someone hacked @solana/web3.js with a hijack that steals your keys Takeways: * don't open discord/telegram links * keep accounts separate. One wallet for experimentation. Another to hold anything you don't wanna lose * use separate devices. One for just buying crypto. Another for programming. Another for fun. (Trying out the latest raspeberry pi for coding.)

learned sometihing myself the past few weeks. Coding triggers an intense dopamine reward for me. On the hand, that did wonders to my software engineering career (I enjoy what I do!) On the other hand, it's easy for me to get addicted to the dopamine hit. I specially hate being asked to "go above and beyond" or working on side projects because I always find it impossible to switch off. Like a Coding Berserker mode 🤣 This coming year I need to find a better relationship w/ work. Like setting hard boundaries.

i will back very soon w/ a DEGEN/MOXIE contest very soon. It's near the end of tax season and as crazy as it sounds, I can actually invest a small amount on crazy crypto schemes and use the losses to reduce my taxes. So i've been busy doing crazy crypto things like (trying to) make a sniping bot. But it's getting boring and I promise I'll be back soon.

BUT... it's included as part of the paid ChatGPT... definitely tempting to sign up for ChatGPT because that also gives access to their latest LLM.
