StarCraft: Retribution I was like 8 yo, and we went with my bro to buy pirated CDs in the stadium. Our parents gave us a $5-10 budget, which was enough for 1-2 CDs. We were StarCraft fans and found this new SC expansion we hadn't heard about before. Ofc, this pro-looking CD turned out to be just a set of fanmade maps

Then there are the ‘really old’ casters who bought cassettes…Arena, Duran Duran for me. In fact I’m old enough that I remember my parents buying records (before they were retro) and specifically being hugely excited by us getting The Village People! 🙈
