I lived in the Alphabet district of Portland, OR for about a year and while the city as a whole wasn't my vibe, my neighborhood was amazingly walkable, had great restaurants, grocery, access to downtown, and hip young people like me (at the time ~10y ago).

west philly, shortly after college there were a few hundred ultimate players in the area. we had cheap housing, cheap burritos, cheap bars, regular workouts, and lots of vibe-aligned shit going on all the time it took me over a decade of living elsewhere to realize how much i miss that hood
