A Levy for school funding is up for a vote this year in my school district. How do I get people to vote 'yes' for it? Since it affects home owners though tax, I assume renters that are parents would be the easiest to convince? Any strategies for everyone else?

Are we doxing ourselves on /warpcast by uploading original media from our phones and its GPS location metadata? eg with photos and videos My understanding is that other social services eg Discord auto-strip this metadata on upload.

A founder of a pre-product company I was chatting with is worried that if they accept an investment for a lower valuation right now, that it sets a bad precedent for future fundraising. My intuition suggests that this is only true if you are selling snakeoil, but I've not personally raised before. Thoughts?

I served on my HOA's board which was a miserable experience, but the terrible things people say about HOAs are only a result of the -right- people not caring enough to get involved in their own HOA. HOAs *can* be effective, but its community needs to participate. If you are part of an HOA, consider getting involved.

It isn't officially announced, but rustconf looks to be held in Montreal September 10-13, 2024, but the Rust Foundation mentioned they had committed to a venue for those dates in their quarterly update.
