Something I've embraced the past few years is that I'm naturally a late sleeper (best thinking and most productive hours for work late at night). I used to feel bad about it (e.g. not working hard enough) and forced myself to make early morning meetings but reality is my brain doesn't function well then and that's okay

still confused about my routine. some weeks i’m more productive at night, some mornings. big learning from the past 2 months is that earliest i can start my day is 6.30-7am (current routine). any earlier and the gap between waking up and getting sunlight is too long - heavily affects my productivity & mood

This 1000000% I've always gotten pushback from me operating best at the latest hours of the night and not being a morning person. Have really turned it into a superpower and feel more confident with my internal workflow than ever before. Here's to the night owls!

Only thing is the body seems to punish this longer term with hormonal health - I am trying to find a balance but nothing quite like the 2-5am window of productivity 🫢🏻

Totally agree. Sleeping without an alarm clock felt like granting myself a luxury (which I still believe it to be), but everything about the day goes so much smoother. I don't even always wake up "late", but I wake up when I'm done sleeping

πŸ’― okay. It’s part of the reason I like working in tech and startups. It’s much easier to build a team culture of flex schedules that support ideal productivity windows.

My most productive times are between 11pm and 11am I’ll always prefer an all nighter to write, research, build and obviously party :)
