Any ideas on how we can make it more obvious for users to tag @bountybot instead of @bountycaster for posting bounties? Best idea gets a 2000 $degen tip

You can have bountycaster be a bot. Everytime it’s tagged it’ll respond with “like if you meant to tag bountycaster, if you’re looking to make a bounty delete your cast and switch to using bountybot”

or of course - a more elegant solution @linda take advantage of the alphabetical sorting 🐧

I see your replies re: avoiding building infra for @bountycaster - but is it not just adding it to the same infra as what bot uses? Like, just rout all tags to @bountycaster to the same thing?

Rename the company to something else that doesn’t start with bounty, then let ppl tag either of the current at-bounty accounts

maybe just use @bountycaster alone for now, simple and more obvious :) I didn't create a new @payflow bot account for the same reason! and in future probably you won't be using to tag bot at all, but rather analyze all casts anyway by certain criteria The way /buoy does :)

Add indexing to bountycaster to check for tags and reply from bountybot It’s a catch all but requires more infra for indexing/processing

tbh when i think about making a bounty, the first thing that comes to my mind is @bountycaster instead of @bountybot also seeing two accounts in the dropdown will be forever confusing for me 🫨 how about instead of tagging, the bot picks up the text format? bounty: 100 $degen more straight forward imo

Make a different bot that responds when people tag the wrong bot that says “you tagged the wrong bot. Here is the right one”. Kinda kidding, kinda serious. 😂

you could add text to the user description so its more obvious when people are tagging. not the classiest example but highlights the additional text piece i'm referring to.

I was that person, now feel silly 😅But this bounty definitely made me memorize what to tag next time.

for starters i think them sharing the same pfp adds to the confusing— bountybot should be a ‘weird guy’ with its own pfp

just riffing, but change the bountybot profile to different color scheme (example below). it may need a clippy sort of presentation, replying to things just so bounty posters are familiar with that account as opposed to a summonable brand.

deactivate the account? (or more realistically, switch username to an ENS so you don't lose the fname) doesn't look like you're using it for much anyway

Also, here's 2 more suggestions: - You could also try updating @bountybot profile description and tell users to tag it for bounty postings - Lastly, if a user tags @bountycaster, have it respond with a message redirecting them to @bountybot
