As many as my curiosity wants to pick up Life is too short and time is too limited to worry about how many books are enough or not enough since the stacks of books you can read within a life time are severely limited Tldr: read what you want to read be who you want to be

i personally found it weird now looking back when i was trying to record how much/ how many i should read like it’s a race. i believe that there is no number to following your nose & reading what you’re interested in. life’s too short to hit numbers vs following your nose. the love for something is not finite.

I read whatever I’m curious for in a moment how that behaviour happens to add up to “books I’m reading at the same time” is besides the point never let an on-going book stop you from starting a new one, and never force yourself to finish a book if you’re not feeling it

Got around 50 audiobooks on my phone. Reading 15-20 ebooks on PC and a few textbooks as well. I usually can't finish anything in one go, but Consider Phlebas by Iain Banks (Elon Musk's favourite Sci-Fi author) is a masterpiece and has me hooked!

You're speaking my language.. I used to plow through books, now I take my time and sit w what I've read.. 3 to 5 at a time and it depends on the weather too. This and a good book always win vs a Netflix night.

One fiction (before bed) and one non fiction is my limit. I also like to read blogs on topics that I’m looking to learn more about (e.g. Farnam Street for thinking). But I would say, if your curiosity allows, go for the 4th! Life is too short to limit your curiosity or slog through books you don’t actually like
