I was following along early when they were still figuring out what Passes is Core insight they and others found is you have a few long tail patrons that are willing to pay to message. That is per message per “creator” They (at least before) claimed to target non-NSFW creators that play the line at suggestive I haven’t checked recently to see if they flipped on that stance. The thing I found most fascinating about the core insight is that it looks like paying for messages is about access and not the promise of more NSFW content

I know a few influencer chicks that are on Passes. My theory is that Lucy herself is funding a lot of the transactions, like how VCs do when they invest in marketplace startups.

My guess is highly engaged fans. When I was advising the lead Peloton instructor on her off-Bike community, we considered Passes as an option. She has super fans who would pay (and are paying) $$$ for access to her in a variety of ways. Majority of her paying subs are women, 35-55 y/o, fitness enthusiasts.

The folks on the platform are mostly pre-established influencers/celebrities. She’s also a part of that crowd. I only have good things to say about Lucy, she’s an absolute badass.
