Cura is taking over @modbot 🚀 Cura will power all 15000+ channels on Farcaster with integrated membership gating, curation, feeds, leaderboards, and onchain tools. big thanks to @haole for building Modbot (and h/t to @jtgi for automod). with evolving technical specs around frames, custom requirements for spam and feeds, we need to redesign the entire channel experience. Cura is building an entirely new, end-to-end experience for channels/communities. not only catered to those that are on farcaster, but also to onboard net new communities that aspire to have great tools, user experience and a viable business model for communities. One big advantage of wc over basically all the incumbent social media is amplifying people who haven't talked in a while. The "keep your streak going" incentive that dominates most creates some really perverse patterns, and I hope that people appreciate more meaningful content that comes from this.

Content coins will work if you get people to post them with sufficient quantity and frequency. Until then, there will be a lot of push back. But the only way through is posting more. Swap "being cool" with "established coin norms" and "being cringe" with "creating more coins".

when everything becomes a token, nothing has value; this fundamental truth has been ignored & the fallout is now making its way to x 1) excessive tokenization creates a mirage of opportunity while actually destroying ecosystem value. when we fragment liquidity across thousands of micro-tokens, each new addition doesn't expand the pie—it merely slices it thinner. attention remains finite; liquidity remains finite; but tokens multiply endlessly 2) the math simply doesn't work. in a hyper-tokenized environment, capital continually flows toward novelty, creating temporary spikes followed by inevitable crashes. you can say "normal market efficiency" but the system generates far more losers than winners by design, not by accident 3) "direct monetization" sounds empowering but masks a brutal reality: without substantial existing audience, discovery becomes nearly impossible in a sea of tokens. creators with smaller followings face worse odds than in traditional systems, not better ones

Every Tuesday I wake up confused to find myself wherever I am on the Warpcast Rewards leaderboard. BUT, then I remember how amazing all of you are, and it makes sense! This place has come to mean a lot to me in a short time! As a puppy with no sense of personal finance, I’d like to get rid of my $$$ once again, and put it right back into this community. But I need your help! I want to: 🐾 Commission an artist active on Farcaster to create the artwork for Bert stickers 🐾 Print/order the stickers through someone else in the Farcaster ecosystem 🐾 Have some friends give these out at Farcon, so it will be like I'm there Please tag any artists you think would be great at capturing my likeness (paid), and any sticker printers/makers you’d recommend (also paid), in the replies or send them my way via DC! I was going to spend it all on cheese. This feels better, plus it could fulfill my lifelong dream of seeing my face on a water bottle.
