What's the thing that frustrates you the most from the conventional DM and group chat UI/functionality that most apps use (Telegram, WhatsApp, X, Warpcast, etc.) ?

Probably the lack of scheduled messages? I’ve become increasingly worse at replying to friends and family, to a point where if 72h go by I’ll forget altogether. One reason why I procrastinate so long is not wanting to seem available to talk more in the moment and put it off to a moment where I may be open, like the following morning. I want to believe that if I could schedule send all my messages I’d be way more responsive in general, but lack the data or first hand experience to prove it. That is unless I switch all my messaging to email!

telegram and discord (and even whatsapp, i believe) offer a lot of developer programmability and customizations will any of that functionality be coming to warpcast dcs? i think you can get there with an api and programmable dcs

Biggest frustration with Warpcast DCs is single inbox I use folders in Telegram to organize conversations by topic or recipient (e.g. my investors, my friends, LA group chats, conference group chats, etc) and I’d love that same functionality in DCs

can't copy a long dc as affordance is pushed out of view. this makes it hard to share as a cast which can be useful when one wants to share a frame

People tag me in group chats but it’s meaningless because I don’t get a notification and I can’t jump to the message.

Having a thousand apps to do the same thing. I would rather someone build a proxy or something to funnel multiple apps into one, than for someone to build yet another group chat app I won’t use in a month’s time

i wish it felt more realtime. when i'm in an active conversation and have DCs open, i'd receive a push notification while the UI remains stale. need to back out, refresh, and re-enter to see the latest messages bonus: "is typing" state

When tagged multiple times in a DC, I can't see them all. When replied to, I vcan navigate to the message.
