includes, but not limited to: @vitalik.eth @ted @giu @tldr @dwr.eth @v @barmstrong @jacob @greg @cassie @nonlinear.eth @mcbain @ccarella.eth +45 others these are high reputation users that don't just give follows away for free, gaining trust from these people should be a good indicator if a user is trustworthy or not

there's also weights ie. a follow from @balajis.eth (who follows 47 people and has 100k+ followers) is worth more than a follow from @dwr.eth who follows 2500 people (ps. sorry dan ily i just needed an example)

let me emphasize, i made this in an hour, this is far from perfect right now, this is 100% based on follows which isn't great in following releases, i will be factoring in # of engaging casts per week, how often the user is active, how long they've been on farcaster, etc

I did a sampling of folks, and it seems the data is quite extreme, folks are either 100% "excellent" or 0.XX% "poor"..and also, of those who are "poor" in this metric, I would feel a bit hurt to receive such a ranking since it is dependent on friendship with OG users, rather than reflective of quality of contributions.

Conflicted about this. Nice to see numerical recognition of work I've put in as a non-OG but folks' data is extremely skewed by og or not influence Cool start but def needs more data sources and types, looking forward to seeing it evolve 5555 $DEGEN

Do you see this as a precursor to a custom feed algorithm?

...and if it helps, my heuristic for following on here is simply: 1. did this person reply something relevant to my cast? πŸ˜… 2. I scroll through their profile page and see if it's casts I would interact with (so if it's memecoin heavy then I don't follow back b/c I have no meaningful contributions to the topic)

What is this basing reputation on, because I'm ranking lower than that $ticker scam and last I checked, I'm a pretty good human with a solid reputation. I ran my fellow colleagues, some of the top in this ecosystem and they all ranked poor.

I think this will be a great tool for new users the way you describe future improvements in the comments. For older users I think it would be more useful if you could use your most interacted with accounts as the set of reputable users instead. Or maybe you allow people to make public lists of rep users.

Basing the reputation score simply on follows from a list FC OGs is limiting

Uhm, okay, I'm 5% guy who didn't pass the test, sadly. But I'm not that bad, i tell ya! Being serious: it is strange to measure ppl reputation score by being friends with ogs. Idk, maybe there should be a "spammy behaviour" criteria or some low-cap stuff like "f4f".

Site was just working, but when I went to check more users I got "Application error: a client-side exception has occurred (see the browser console for more information)."
