100% health/dental/vision coverage. Provide a normal plan and HSA plan incase employees have different preferences. We use Rippling to manage it all alongside payroll.

We use justworks but any PEO would work, especially if you aren't all in one state. Allows you access to bulk insurance pricing instead of by individual state. Massive cost savings. Beyond that, we cover $X amount per month per employee. Anything over that, the employee covers.

It’s a bit of a chore so have some lead time. You are also subject to minimum enrollment requirements. You should be working with an agent on this stuff. They’ll try to push you towards the more expensive plans since they get a commission.

As an employee all the systems suck the same; the employee UX is always bad to fine b/c we’re not the customer We just care how much you will cover and if the insurance providers are good or not; we will slog through any UI to access it

Have done both Justworks (US based) and Rippling (Intl based) at different startups Get quotes from both since you are priced locked for premiums til next enrollment period. For NYC HQ you’ll need minimum of 2 FT employees. Happy to give more info on setup for both via DC

We use Gusto which allows employees to choose between a couple different health plans, and then also do Oxford Benefit Management for the dental/vision.
