They send notifications to Instagram that route to threads; yes many bounce out but some stick Overall, they’ve been the best at using one app to make another Messenger went from 0 -> 1.3B MAU

Everytime I enter threads is a misclick. And it happens while I'm spending 10 minutes a day consuming mindless content on IG.

I actually use Threads sporadically. Specifically, there are a few InfoSec leaders that migrated there and it’s the best way to keep up with them. Not a daily driver though, and still a far third for me after Warpcast and X.

The content there is good because it makes me question reality in a similar way that crypto twitter makes me question reality. One is real faces and the other is pseudonyms. Lesson in there.

haha yeah i deleted my account in spring and then had IG doing a pretty good job cross suggesting content (no joke) on my IG feed. dont think it’d be the same if i signed up again after the time out, but it almost made me do it done right, i thought this would be a nice way to integrate content suggestion if warpcast had a ‘following feed’

I don't think that many are misclicks from IG. Twitter is definitely becoming less and less usable. I know a decent number of people who have gone to Threads. Threads and Warpcast the most likely replacements for the continuously declining Twitter/X.

Thread is a failure, only platform able to hold and increase traction is X. Their reward mechanism will only boost activities especially from big accounts
