Not buying them anymore but previously bought a lot. As a collector a fixed 10k supply for a worldwide market is tiny. I’m a big fan of things like V1 cryptopunks that have both historical provenance, social buy in & an even smaller supply.

it's an exit liquidity strategy for long term holders without giving up the pfps. buyers are just trench warriors looking for quick upside but get cooked after typical 48 hour hype period dies down

they are no longer buying, that hype cycle died in 2022 but the appeal back then was 1) limited supply collectible 2) speculative, potential for number go up 3) communities tied together by artwork, pfp becomes part of identity

Done properly, it could become an in-game currency for their ecosystem that's free floating. Biggest issue thus far is that very few (if any) have created compelling token sinks where users want to spend these tokens to mint NFTs, upgrade NFTs, play games, buy merch, win prizes, etc.

first 10k collection on base, a CTO @basedfellas (launched in original onchain summer) did a sale of land plots "homes" designed by @btdangelo and then seeded a liquidity pool and launched a token $FELLA (this was way before clanker days) the original purpose of $fella was to be used in the @basedfellas ecosystem to use several of their built dapps holding a @basedfellas also accumulates $FELLA automatically through lazy staking @kingsimpa69 built a few dapps including a 50/50 platform and a few others that are escaping me rn the meta truly never circled back token still holds value (not as high as it could be) because of the seeded lp

I have 3350 artwork pieces completed. Each hand-made artwork has a story. Part of much bigger project. Still building but looking for opportunity. Initially thinking of Menting as ordinals but not sure. Preservation is key. How would ERC20 help?
