New social networks are best modeled as new countries. Who has the most incentive to emigrate from the old to the new?

those with nothing to lose and everything to gain one of the reasons why most early fc users with large audiences on the bird app churned, but those with no/low audience remained and stayed active

People like me…. (1) Decided to “invest” in social later than others (2) As a result, don’t have significant ties to the old, and (3) Have much to gain from being a first mover in the new. Happy to chat if I can be helpful. 😊

speaking for my parents- an ambitious type who believes that the new country is churning out opportunity on the regular, and that simply by correlating themselves heavily with the new country something serendipitous will happen. those who are tired of the old may still be afraid to start over. wen pallet.com for FC??

Not an answer to your question, but it made me think of an episode of Joshua Citrarella's podcast with Yancey Strickler that I listed to recently. https://pca.st/ei023bov

I feel like full-time influencers rarely migrate unless their existing platform is going defunct or the new platform is (immediately) more financially viable—while others prefer to give every platform a shot (me, lol.)
