Removed X / Twitter mobile app (and mobile web) from my phone in October. Still use it on my computer. Other than a 4-month period in 2019, longest I haven't had it on my phone. I'd be surprised if I ever add it back.

I would prefer to just use Farcaster, but I'm finding it hard to do because there's a ton of other projects on X that I'm missing out on. For context, I'm interested in onchain games. If I only pay attention to Farcaster, I would miss 99% of new games being developed/launched. It's awkward because then I just post X links here about these projects and makes me feel like a dork because why not just be on X? Would you recommend a different strategy for someone like me?

The downfall of X for me is more the slow capitulation of services just plain falling apart. The vibes have shifted, but the actual fun stuff like the twitter API went into collapse mode. $5k p/m for utter garbage, with automated accounts getting captcha’d to boot. It’s just a low quality soapbox now imo.

I removed it a long time ago. Still access via mobile web though. Overall I’ve been on x way less the 6 months due to all the blocks I have in place. Opal helpful too to block the mobile website.

I only use X for baseball content. No other social platform has been able to replace the content for that sport yet. I have worked hard to curate the for you feed on X to only show me baseball and specifically posts about the team I follow, so it works. But I'd love to dump X entirely

Only use twitter to share my photography and that's how I stumbled on NFTs and crypto. Don't use it much now these days cos most folk left once they fill their boots with $$$ in 2021/22.
