i am LARPing as a normal user and not doing any extra exploring/digging and it's going well so far. I like the scrolling banner in a channel feed. It makes it feel like the channel casts are wearing a fun hat.

My biggest concern so far is that contributors to channels can have their casts rugged with a membership withdrawal. I think casts should be able to exist outside of channels in the event of a membership withdrawal, @dwr.eth.

I’m a bit confused, but just because I need to better familiarise with the changed. Planning to open up /scanography and /cyanotype to moxie fan tokens and will keep /daily-art-mint and /daily-fan-token closed/curated

For the most part the change is excellent, however I am still trying to find the best way to actually get channel invites. Right now that part isn't super intuitive.

I haven’t gotten membership yet into most channels I should be in. I gather owners behind/lot of work. casts showing up in more replies. probably just take a break i guess until things get sorted.

Seen a lot of spam and many people are confused about how the changes are being implemented however, I think once the dust settles a little it will be a positive net change.

It's great for me, i like that you can control the channels better, that people are not hidden! Everyone is going to be used to them quickly, changes are not always taken easy!

It seems we can still post in channels without being a member. The UI does not search channels without membership, but if we find a way, the cast API does not seem to reject calls. In Warpcast, I can cast by getting a channel handle from the “recent” channels list under a cast form. E.g. not a member of /politics (by overlook), not in my search list anymore, but in the recent channels list.

- Enable open channels as an option; it would be nice for new casters to find visiblity somewhere - Enable join requests, I don’t know why creating a new type of notification or inbox is a bad idea - Don’t hide replies to channel casts from non-members, the hidden replies should be reserved for people who were marked as spammers. Just give channel members an indicator in the replies

1. Rollout was smooth, but sudden in terms of the magnitude and impact of the change. 2. Mods have a lot of pressure and in some cases a significant amount of work to be done and it could harm participation in those channels. No evidence of this other than anecdotal since most of the channels I follow haven't invited yet. 3. Mods could have been given lead time to handle the load of invites so that when the launch did happen the channels were more fleshed out. I think it'll take a few weeks to see the real impact though.

Need single click fast channel join when in compose!!!! Not a member of music but trying to post to music?? Give me a one tap (or popover card to go thru join flow and then resume my post once a member.
