There's no penalty for interacting with non-power badge if you have it Open to another system, except for "well, just give it to me because I'm good".

Currently, something like a moving average is used. If you’ve had a bad week, past achievement isn’t lost. Say it’s over the last k weeks. Include an additive score boost with a longer window (say 10k), proportional to (weeksWithBadge/10k)^1/10. So if you’ve had a badge long ago, a boost is applied.

Hey Dan. Didn't want to bother you guys with something like this, but i figured a reply won't hurt. My powerbadge got removed this tuesday out of the blue. My engagement numbers were great. i was a top 100 user, and still, i lost it, and i am now facing the consequences. Can i get feedback on why this happened? Tks

Brainstorming — Give instant (ie next tuesday) power badges to anyone who gets significant engagement on a single cast. Like a SAT test. If you deserve a badge there is a clear path to earn it — just cast well.

Maybe bump it to recalculating twice a week instead of once per week? FC moves a lot faster these days, and a week is now a long time to miss out on the perks of the Power Badge, especially for artists and other creators whose livelihoods may depend on their visibility.

Good response My only critique is some have a power badge only because they have a “legacy” following somewhere else. They come here get a butt load of followers and only “broadcast”. It’s lame but not sure if there is a way to challenge that.

Once someone has a badge, and they are at risk of loosing it, give them a "warning week" where their power badge is active but they need to up their poasting game if they don't want to fall off the next week. Opposite of "gold power after X months" instead users get browned out power if they're in flux.

Personally I don't like the system of power badge. It's clear that there are ranges and class struggle in life, but also in "decentralized social networks"? I think that is more inclusive than all users have the same rights and facilitates the growth of Farcaster. I Think.. Sorry if my opinion bothers. Thanks!
