1. Power badge gets computed every Tuesday 2. Plenty of new accounts get it each week; some lose it 3. Based on inbound engagement from other other power badge users 4. There's no penalty for interacting with non-power badge if you have it Open to another system, except for "well, just give it to me because I'm good".

the algo is hidden and opaque, not opensource code so i cannot decode the variables that led to me losing it.
